Visitation to ESA

Brothers Charles Biagui and Paul Montero made the canonical visitation of the province of Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) from December 26, 2007, to February 15, 2008, beginning with their participation in ESA’s third provincial chapter which was held in Lusaka, Zambia, December 28 -31, 2007.  The election of the new provincial administration was held during the chapter, with the installation of the new council taking place during Eucharist on January 1, 2008.   Another highlight of the visitation was the celebration at Christ the King High School in Roma, Lesotho, of the Golden Jubilee of first profession of Brothers Johannes Mpheteng and Callixtus Nts’ekhe, the first African Brothers of the Sacred Heart to celebrate fifty years of religious profession.

 Our scholastics in Nairobi, Kenya, were not affected during the violence and unrest in many parts of Kenya following the December presidential elections.  Tangaza College, where the scholastics attend classes, has remained open.
